Our Discord server has a new way to earn: Speed Challenges. Every so often a question pops up in #general. The first members to answer it correctly win real money, and the prize is added to their TaskerData balance the moment they answer.
No forms, no waiting for approval. Be quick, be right, get paid.
How a Speed Challenge works
A challenge is posted in #general and stays there until it has its winners. Each one shows the prize, how many winners there will be and how to answer. A challenge can be:
- A text question, like a quick fact or a riddle
- A picture, for example "which city is this landmark in?"
- A video from YouTube, Vimeo or Discord
- A website to visit, where the answer is somewhere on the page
The first correct answers win. If a challenge has 3 winners, the first 3 people to get it right each take the prize.
Two ways to answer
Every challenge uses one of these, and the post tells you which:
- Buttons: pick A, B, C and so on. Only you see your answer, and you get one try.
- Typed answers: type your answer straight into #general, where everyone can see it. Wrong guesses get no reply, so you can simply try again.
Typed challenges come with a short hint about what the answer should look like, such as "a city name" or "a number", so you know what to type.
Paid the moment you win
When you win, the bot replies in #general with your place and your time, and the prize appears on your TaskerData balance straight away, just like a daily bonus claim. There is no manual approval and no delay.
Your prizes are counted with your other Discord earnings in your dashboard. Once a challenge is over, the post also lists everyone else who got it right.
Fair play
Speed decides, so we keep it fair:
- Only members who have synced their TaskerData account can play and win.
- Answers that arrive faster than a person could read the question are rejected and checked by our team.
- If all the places are already taken, a correct answer gets a 🐢 instead. Better luck next time!
New achievements to unlock
Speed Challenges come with 10 new badges. Four of them also give you a coloured role in the server:
- 🥊 Challenger: answer a Speed Challenge correctly
- 🤓 Know-It-All: 25 correct answers
- 🏁 Quick Draw (role): win a Speed Challenge
- 🏎️ Speed Demon (role): win 5 Speed Challenges
- 🌩️ Lightning (role): win 25 Speed Challenges
- 🥇 Fastest Finger: finish 1st in a Speed Challenge
- 💨 Untouchable (role): finish 1st in 10 Speed Challenges
- 👀 Blink of an Eye: win in under 5 seconds
- 🎰 Jackpot: win $10 in total from Speed Challenges
- 👁️ Sharp Eye: 90% or more correct over 20+ challenges
Every unlock is announced in the server, and you can see your badges any time with /achievements.
Two new commands
- /challenge explains the rules, shows whether a challenge is live right now (with a link to it) and shows your own record.
- /stats shows your Discord activity in one place: Speed Challenge answers and wins, daily bonus claims and your streak, and more. Use it with private turned on to also see the money you have earned.
How to join in
- Join the TaskerData Discord server: discord.gg/bT7Yy7T2WD
- In the sync channel, press Connect with Discord, sign in to TaskerData and press Authorize. You never type your password into Discord.
- Keep an eye on #general. The next challenge could drop at any moment.
